Recent efforts by the Indian government and the Bush Administration need to be applauded for helping uplift a relationship towards a more meaningful strategic partnership. But determination, courage that is essential to face up to the risks that still remain (such as Pakistan's ties with the US) and a willingness to shed old frameworks of thinking are needed to sustain the current willingness between the two countries towards forging a closer relationship. - Reproduced.
