Development programmes evaluation: a learning organization approach

The presents paper aims at developing an evaluation tools for human resource development experts. The knowledge and understanding of learning organization principles has been explored in this paper. In this paper, we start by briefly describing the five discipline/practices that form the framework for learning organization. Next we provide several examples of the approach's success in empowering organization. Finally, we identify broad questions for Human resource development expert to ask in evaluating organizational change. The various successful examples have been discussed. We are of the firm believe that Human Resource Development programming, whether in community development, nutrition, youth development, small business, or other fields, strengthens groups by enhancing the capacity of members to work together effectively. Yet evaluating these impacts is difficult and rarely done in practice. The model of a learning organization may provide a framework to better evaluate these interventions. -Reproduced.
