Bench marking performance using data envelopment analysis: a case study of total sanitation campaign - 2005 - p.1-28. - Jul

The study uses a new managerial tool for evaluating or bench marking performance for different states and districts with regard to the implementation of Total Sanitation Campaign. It makes use of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a non-parametric technique that allows a relative comparison of a number of comparable organisational decision making units. Measuring the efficiency of services being provided, especially in the non profit and social sector, can play an important role in understanding the programme implementation process, impact and also result in achieving improvements in the delivery of services. - Reproduced.
