This calls for huge investment in the higher education, which the government is not in a position to do. Even if the government increases the allocation for higher education, taking the investment in education up to six per cent of the GDP, there will still be a huge gap in the demand and supply of seats in higher educational institutions. to fill this gap, there is a need to encourage the participation of the corporate sector before we think of inviting foreign direct investment in this sector. - Reproduced. aHigher education - India aPublic private partnership - India aPublic private partnership aIndian Journal of Public Administration
