Today's youth is overburdened by a system which is not much meaningful for them. The present education system does not align with the holistic approach towards understanding young people's lives. What is needed is an approach focusing on interest based learning within context and enhancing opportunities enabling them to construct knowledge and develop skills, thereby improving the quality of life. Since India is facing a demographic transition leading to a bulge in the youth population, it is the     right opportunity to invest in them by providing relevant education in order to reap the benefits of the promise inherent in this group. Overwhelmed with idealism and energy, youth constitutes a tremendous force for change and reconstruction. Youth policies and measures are not developed independently, but are incorporated in other frameworks.
