Most of the literature on accessibility is underpinned on indicators that can be broadly categories under socio- economic and cultural parameters. This article explores the relational nature of various aspects of space as articulated through Lefebvre’s work on space to develop the concept of accessibility. Understanding of the interrelation between various components of Lefebvre's spatial tribal can provide more nuanced understanding of reason for inaccessibility of primary health care facilities to the poor. After introduction on accessibility second section of the article discusses existing approaches influencing studies on accessibility in healthcare and their limitations. Third section reviews the triad of social space as given by Lefebvre's. The conceptual framework presenting relation between accessibility and Lefebvre's concept of space is explored in the fourth section before conclusions. - Reproduced
