India’s most populous state of Uttar Pradesh has progressively taken various initiatives to provide e-services to its citizens. This research paper delves into the realm of e-governance initiatives in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Based on secondary sources of data and its analysis of various e-governance projects, the present paper underlines their impact on public services and the challenges encountered in their implementation. Lack of technical awareness, proper infrastructure, technical inclusion, threat to privacy etc have the major challenges in UP.- Reproduced
