Due to sudden and unplanned lockdown the migrant workers have to bear the worst burden of the epidemic in terms of lives and livelihood. Migrant crisis during the coronavirus pandemic has revealed multilayered relationship between the migrant workers and the virus. This paper seeks to analyse the contemporary migrant crisis highlighting the vulnerability of the migrant workers in terms of mobility, social security, health management as well as policy relief measures taken by the government. – Reproduced
