According to the world bank, the blue economy is defined as the sustainable development of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of the ocean ecosystems. The blue economy emphasizes the integration of the development of the ocean economy with social inclusion and environmental satiability, combined with innovative business models. Oceans are considered future growth engines, even with the changing climate and other anthropogenic pressures. The blue economy is thus positioned as a core dimensions formational growth, reflecting India’s commitment to sustainable development and responsible use of ocean resources.
