This paper will focus on three issues. Firstly, how the Northeast Indians are culturally different, and how have their racial differences encountered some responses of discrimination? Secondly, how a depoliticized and docile labour force who are the product of globalization becomes a junior partner in the neoliberal market in Hyderabad? Thirdly, how are the hyphenated identities of Northeast Indians confronted in Hyderabad? This study employed a purposive sampling method where we interviewed and analysed twenty-one individuals. Some Northeast Indians have been subjected to racial slurs, especially during the pandemic. Thus, they have to experience the process of intersecting between race, gender and caste.-Reproduced https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40847-024-00390-0
