The objective of this research paper is to indicate key sectors of the economy because these key sectors can either be bottlenecks or opportunity sectors to be targeted for development policy. In this context, linkages are the principal criteria for selection of key sectors. Formulating a development strategy for growth in an economy also involves the identification of key sectors of the economy. Linkages through using the input output analyses in this paper will indicate the key sectors which will play a predominating role in Pakistan's economy. - Reproduced
