| 520 | _aRight to Education (RTC) Act, 2009 is one of the major attempts by the government of India to universalize elementary education. It was effective from 1st April 2010 in all the states and UTs of the country and was supposed to finish many activities within three years of its implementation but even after completion of more than 10 years, the proper implementation of the act has not been done. Many studies and reports have confirmed the poor performance of its implementation in all over the country in general and Jharkhand state in particular. However, the new education policy is already in place but looking at the historical performance of these government attempts have not been so impressive which could enhance the educational development of general population and particularly tribal peoples of Jharkhand. – Reproduced | ||
