The sudden imposition of lockdown, make it worse for migrant workers and daily wage earns. While the wage earners witnessed the uncertainty in livelihood opportunities most of the migrant works also los their jobs. Loss of livelihood, with disruptions in economic activities, forced the migrant workers to move back to their villages. With high rate of migration, Uttrakhand was severely affected.
