520 _aCovid-19 pandemic effected people on their health front from every stratum: However, its brunt was multidimensional for poor people. The sudden imposition of lockdown, make it worse for migrant workers and daily wage earns. While the wage earners witnessed the uncertainty in livelihood opportunities most of the migrant works also los their jobs. Loss of livelihood, with disruptions in economic activities, forced the migrant workers to move back to their villages. With high rate of migration, Uttrakhand was severely affected. This paper explores the residence mechanism adopted by the village inhibitions of Uttrakhand to tackle this challenges. – Reproduced
