520 _aAftermath of the CoVID-19 pandemic has paved an unparalleled fillip to the e-Governance methods all around the world. The speed at which the changes occurred in transmission from an offline to an online milieu has become phenomenal. E-Governance initiatives promise a citizen-centric– government and reduced operational costs which enables the governance initiatives to reach the remotest corners and to areas and regions that had remained underserved. The present paper examines the initiatives of electronic governance launched by the Central Government and the Government of Sikkim during the lockdown periods. With the core issue to gauge the factors influencing the decision of Indian citizens to avail government services electronically, the paper argues that during the pandemic cyberspace became an essential part of life of the people which provided a strong fillip to the establishment of a responsive e-Governance system in our country. Based on secondary sources of data collection, the study finds that despite improving the governance efficacy in service delivery, it could not reach properly to the students of primary and upper primary levels in Sikkim.- Reproduced http://www.iipabiharbranch.org/
