ICT also empowers and encourages citizen involvement in decision-making, and facilitate effective delivery of public services to the citizens at their doorsteps. India’s most populous state of Uttar Pradesh has progressively taken various initiatives to provide e-services to its citizens. This research paper delves into the realm of e-governance initiatives in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Based on secondary sources of data and its analysis of various e-governance projects, the present paper underlines their impact on public services and the challenges encountered in their implementation.
