520			_aThe global economy has been witnessing a continued rise in agricultural trade over the last two decades. There is a distinct shift towards demand for high-value processed agricultural products for consumption, with India’s processed food imports rising more than 20 times between 2003 and 2023. The rise of intra-industry trade in processed agricultural products has been a central factor driving agricultural trade among countries of the global South, and particularly in India.
