520 _aThere is an incredible role of Mahatma Gandhi in making India independent and developing it as a self- reliant and prosperous nation. We can see the reflection of Gandhian and values in both our Constitution and governance from the beginning. Undeniably, Gandhi's nations of Satyagrah, Swaraj, Sarvodaya and Antyodaya are the keys to good governance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government strongly emphasizes the implementation of Gandhian principles, ideas and values in governance to make it participative and welfare- oriented. For the upliftment of poor and weaker section and the development of villages and sustainable use of natural resources government launched various schemes that manifest Gandhian thought, like Sansad Aadarsh Garm Yojna (SAGY), Gramoday se Bharat Uday (GBU), Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana(PMGKAY), Gareeb Kalyan Rozgaar Abhiyaan(GKRA), and Jal Jeevan Mission etc. Inspired by Gandhian concept of Swachhta Prime Minister Narendra Modi Launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with the vision of 'Clean India'. Thus, Gandhian thoughts and values are at the core of the present governance. the present paper tries to mark the prominence of Gandhian thoughts, ideals and values as the new paradigms in governance and also analyse the significance and contribution of major programmes and scheme that reflect Gandhian values and the new paradigm in governance
