| 520 | _aThe Indian legal education is in an important crossroad wherein it has to ask some basic and fundamental questions about its existing learning process. This selfrealization grows manifold for institutes embroiled in higher education. Having said this, the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) is considered to be a visionary document that not only suggests for path breaking reforms to put the university system in a competitive advantage for an emerging knowledge society, but also allows space to adopt measures to improve its functioning. In this perspective, the article argues that India’s NEP 2020 could act as a pivotal tool to introduce a 4+1 years (full time study + full time internship/on the job training) law degree program.
