Both nations, as Commonwealth members, collaborate across diverse sectors including civil nuclear energy, space, defence, education, and culture. In recent years, trade has become a key pillar of engagement, with negotiations ongoing for a comprehensive free Trade Agreement (FTA). Out of 26 chapters, 19 have been concluded, with pending issues such as rules of origin, investment treaties, and intellectual property rights.
