520 _aThis paper attempts to locate the subject of racism within the intersectionality approach to understand the intersection of race, gender and caste. This paper will focus on three issues. Firstly, how the Northeast Indians are culturally different, and how have their racial differences encountered some responses of discrimination? Secondly, how a depoliticized and docile labour force who are the product of globalization becomes a junior partner in the neoliberal market in Hyderabad? Thirdly, how are the hyphenated identities of Northeast Indians confronted in Hyderabad? This study employed a purposive sampling method where we interviewed and analysed twenty-one individuals. Some Northeast Indians have been subjected to racial slurs, especially during the pandemic. Thus, they have to experience the process of intersecting between race, gender and caste.-Reproduced https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40847-024-00390-0
