520 _aThis study focused on the effectiveness of the polices of rehabilitation and resettlement of forest displace people as per the Maharashtra project affected persons act, 1999 with special reference to Nagpur district. It considers aspects such as livelihood restoration, compensation and housing arrangements, and social integration in relation to forest conservation and development projects for internally displaced groups. The study uses’ of descriptive analyses, technique which will be applied in this study is a secondary data study. The findings suggest that the act offers a system of structure to rehabilitations, but that certain implementation problems exists, such as delayed compensation that is a long time coming, the lock of monitoring mechanisms, and United participation in decision making by displaced person. –Reproduced
