This paper surveys the theoretical foundations, management practices, and socioeconomic implications of algorithmic systems across economic domains. Drawing from a multidisciplinary perspective, the study analyses how algorithms reshape traditional economic systems creating new forms of management and control and generating rapidly evolving opportunities and challenges.
