520 _aAn attempt has been made in this article to focus on the phenomenon of liberalisation, its historical context, its distinct features, its socio-economic-politico-cultural manifestations and its impact on the public administration and the public at large. Arguing that liberalisation is in essence unipolar globalisation, it tries to pose an alternative vision to the present unipolar globalisation. It concludes that globalisation is inescapable. Unipolarisation of globalisation is regressive, reversible and catastrophic. - Reproduced.
