520			_aThe question of electoral reforms acquires importance with the growing deterioration in electoral politics. Some of these reforms have been citizen-led, and have empowered the citizen. The ordinary citizen can now ask for candidate affidavits from returning officers and district election officers, scrutinise them and disseminate them to others.
