This article explores the affinities between Taylorism and the ballets Apollo and Agon choreographed by George Balanchine and scored by Igor Stravinsky. Their work embodies a modernist aesthetic influenced by the principles of scientific management, and it reshaped the organization of modern ballet away from focus on the ballerinas and onto the "creative" and composer. - Reproduced.
