520 _aRural development education faces the biggest challenge in ensuring the quality of education and the relevance of curricula offered. Faced with constraints like inadequate funding, excess intake of students, poor infrastructure, declining quality of research and teaching, it often fails to meet high employment expectations and empowerment targets.
