520 _aThe state has a majour role to play in fighting corruption and all three wings of the state, i.e. the legislature, the judiciary and the executive, are equally responsible for tackling it. The lead, however,has to be taken by the government particularly in devising a strategy to combat corruption, developing policies and implementing them, initiating anti-corruption laws and once enacted, enforcing them, and,by providing institutional support for combating corruption and promoting probity in public life. - Reproduced.
