520 _aOver 50 years ago Andhra Pradesh established an ACB and it developed some good practices. But due to globalisation and introduction of neo-liberal policies the scale of corruption and opportunities to indulge in have considerably increased. Can the ACBs in their current structure with suboptimal human resource, low budgetary support, lack pf access to best technologies discharge their functions? What challenges are these facing now?Can there be new agenda for the ACBs in general with the prosect of Lokpal at the national level and reinvigorated Lokayukta on the anvil? This article focuses on the current practices of ACB to check corruption in administration and attemts to present, an assesment along with a futuristic perspective on how organisational reengineering can be thought of. - Reproduced.
