The services for the common people need to be identified in consultation with the beneficiaries. The department of posts is one of the first Central government departments to introduce the concept of civil society participation in the form of Post Forums. The purpose was to involve the stakeholders in managing the post offices as per the needs of the customers. This article proffers the outcome of a study of Post Forums and their contribution in functioning and improvement of post offices in the state of Goa. - Reproduced. |
