Acquisitions are more frequent in Indian business organizations in recent years. This is due to disinvestments of government shares in public sector undertakings and privatization of loss making units. However, the process of acquisition involves two groups, who can gain from it. They are the management and workers of both the firms and later include employees, consumers and the community in which the operation of the acquired firm is located. This paper attempts to study the importance of prevailing industrial relations system after the process of acquisition. It analyses the various success factors of IR in a quantitative and qualitative manner. - Reproduced. |
