Setting up of agro-services centres by cooperative marketing and service societies in rural areas would also help in providing employment. If rural development has to gain strength, then the economic and social life of the rural poor, consisting of small and marginal farmers, landless labourers, tenants and other weaker sections must be improved through providing them subsidiary occupations. - Reproduced
