The creation of an environment of learning at the workplace is seen as an indispensable facilitator of progress. In the article, we examine the association between participative management style and enabling performance and evaluate the mechanism by which it conveys its effect. CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and SEM (structural equation modelling) exhibit a significant association between Participative Management style and Enabling Performance within the organisation. Vitality and learning sequentially mediate the relationship. Based on the data obtained by a survey from 173 working professionals in public and private organisations in India, the study results demonstrate that participative management style is positively related to Enabling Performance and Vitality, and learning mediates that relationship. Managerial implications and future research are suggested based on the finding of the study.- Reproduced
