However, his interest went far beyond the conventional professional or academic boundaries of engineering and urban planning. He obviously had an interest in architecture but also in software development and energy-efficient solar cookers and energy-efficient steam cookers, which he had developed in collaboration with researchers at the Institute of Chemical Technology.1 Here, I limit myself to describing him as an urban thinker or an urbanist as calling him an urban planner would be too restrictive.- Reproduced
