Online payments are a gateway for promoting cashless economy by facilitating technological environment through various platforms like Gpay, PayTm, PhonePe, internet banking etc. Demonetisation and COVID-19 has acted as catalyst in promoting online payments. This study is an attempt to measure the awareness levels of respondents towards online payments against their demographic profile. A sample of 360 respondents was taken for conducting this study and it was suggested that females, middle and old-aged people, retired, homemakers should be encouraged for turning digital and practice online payments through formal and informal training. – Reproduced
