Management in GovernmentSummary: This paper highlights the importance of organisational development strategies in order to improve motivation and productivity of otherwise overworked and under motivated work force in government, keeping in sight the specific organisational climate within the government system and the physical work environment which are the two largest problem areas, an innovative approach called `Hamara Daftar-Hamara Ghar' (our office-our homes) was designed. the premise behind this design included as much respect for the office environment as one has for his home and that organisational development should be done keeping the individual development in focus. The findings of the study provided evidence to the government to formulate new policies on organisational development. - Reproduced.
