Quantum of corruption varies from federal government to regional governments and regional governments to local govenments. Of all the corrupt practices, grassroots level corruptipn destabilises the value system of the society and governance and the process of development. To overcome the above problem a systemic solution was found out and it was implemented through the creation of local governance constitutionally. How the newly created local governance tackled tackled Corruption is explained in this article based on the action research conducted in the rural areas.
