So far the workers engaged in brick kiln industry are concerned, they face peculiar conditions as they have neither agricultural job nor industrial job in true sense. Such labour force, despite being industrial labour, work in such rural conditions that have very little facilities and worker friendly environment. With this view in mind the workers engaged in brick kiln industry were selected for the study. In view of the fact that the informal sector is the only way of generating employment opportunities in the rural economy of Bihar. It consumes all types of employment seekers, but it cannot ensure the continuity of employment and proper facilities to the workers. A quick survey of the labourers at brick kiln industries (locally known as ‘ita bhatha’) was conducted.- Reproduced
